Actor Max Martini joins us this week, but first we head east to Halifax, Nova Scotia to The Press Gang and meet with Executive Chef Christophe Luzeux who pairs chilled lobster and Vino Verde. Then with picnic basket in hand we drive into wine country in the Gaspareau Valley.
There we find Bruce Ewert and his family at L’Acadie Vineyards. Bruce was a winemaking star in BC’s Okanagan Valley and his move surprised many, now was the time to find out why he changed his life; moving from an established region to one taking its first steps.
We head back to Halifax and see my friends Mike and Mike. Rhodes and Campbell and their great music room and restaurant called The Carleton. Executive Chef Rick Schmalz teaches us a quick mussel dish. And then it’s actor off to visit with Max Martini, he’s appeared in Saving Private Ryan, Capt Phillips, the TV series The Unit and the highly anticipated 50 Shades of Grey. We cover all that and his love of wine.
